Ever remember your superhero character just about to use their superpower and those around him/her don't know about it? Well, we'll admit, we've had some fun with that, too.
On a cool day in October, one of our friends paid us a visit at our production site. He then became intrigued about the bag, and its design. It felt really comfortable in his hand, but he had a hard time believing it would withstand so much weight. We couldn't resist the opportunity. What did we say?
"Go right ahead!"
So he did... He took the bag we gave him, and stepped inside with one foot while confidently grabbing all of the handles as he prepared to extert some force. His muscular body was definitely noticeable from his past as a body-builder, and his confidence required no translation. But neither did ours, as we had a hard time stopping our smiles, as if to say "You are sooooo wrong, and you don't know it yet..."
Here is the timeline for what happened next:
- Our friend looks at us, and smiles. He tests his grip. We smile right back, having a hard time to contain our amusement.
- He applies some initial force. He then looks again back at us. We know that look. It's almost like "Hold on a minute, let me adjust my grip", kind of a look. We've seen it many times.
- He tries it again. More force this time. We can't wait to see what's next.
- The third try is when the sounds accompany the exertions, and this is no exception. We're now just enjoying the show our friend is putting on for us. It feels like we're testing him, he's not the one testing the bag.
- Four, five, and now six exertions? More? I don't know if any one of us actually kept track, but with every break in between exertions, our friend was adjusting his grip for a stronger hold. And, though he was not sweating by much, you could almost say he did have some moisture on his head almost like those times when you eat spicy food.
- Then, he applied the biggest force ever. And, it finally ripped. He looked like a winner, but one who then had new admiration for an unexpected opponent.
Well, for us? I have to resist not turning this into a common prank or candid cam show with more folks lined up... But it was yet another of those moments at which we regretted not filming the whole thing.... Well, next time... :)
